OKIVERY is a data-driven commerce platform for expats in Korea, providing supermarket and food delivery services tailored to non-Korean-speaking communities. Founded in 2017 by UC Berkeley alumni, OKIVERY began as a translation-based concierge service and has since evolved into a comprehensive lifestyle and commerce platform.
Today, OKIVERY collaborates with Korean food brands and local businesses to conduct Proof of Concept (PoC) projects for global expansion. By leveraging foreign consumer data, the company optimizes products and menus to bridge local supply with international demand.
Our mission is to transform everyday consumption into action-able data, enabling local businesses to scale globally while making life easier and more connected for expats in Korea.
Urban Sociologist Lab
Urban Sociologist Lab is a non-profit research unit of OKIVERY that studies and documents urban regeneration in multicultural districts of Korea. Based in Shinjang-dong, Pyeongtaek, the lab archives local histories and explores how traditional markets can evolve into global ecosystems through digital transformation (DX) and AI (AX),
with a particular focus on marginalized communities—including refugees, migrant workers, multicultural families, senior citizens, youth, and single-parent households—by connecting them with expanded opportunities in employment and education.
